Russell Roeber Bio

Russell Roeber is Sakura’s Cattle Production Manager. Russell is responsible for managing and forecasting live cattle inventory as well as scheduling and planning production at our processing facilities. Russell works close with contracted feeders, growers and producers building relations while also overseeing feeding programs, best management practices, and handling. Russell also oversees the quality grading of all cattle in the Ohio Wagyu Beef program.

Russell is a graduate of the University of Nebraska where he received his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. During his college career, Russell was a member of the Livestock judging team as well as the Meat Animal Evaluation Team. Russell’s passion for agriculture started at a young age as he grew up on a family farm, raising cattle.

Russell joined the Sakura team in 2017 bringing eight year of industry experience.

Outside of work, Russell is an avid supporter of his local 4-H and FFA organizations. Once watching his own children in the show ring, Russell is now the swine superintendent for his county fair. When he’s not volunteering in his community, Russell enjoys helping his wife with her horses.
