Bruce Beachy
Producer Bruce Beachy understands the importance of providing safe, healthy, and sustainable beef for his family and others.
Bruce Beachy, along with his wife and three sons, operate a 2,000-acre farm in Dundee, Ohio. Getting his start in 2005, Bruce now raises corn, soybeans, and hay as well as chickens and Sakura cattle. Bruce practices stainability from the ground up on his farm by utilizing regenerative agriculture practices, specifically cover crops. For the winter seasons, Bruce plants a cover crop to protect his soil from erosion and to maintain its nutrients through the cold months. This practice not only benefits the soil, but also the crops raised on the soil. In return, those crops are used to feed his livestock. Bruce also utilizes both the chicken and cattle manure to naturally fertilize his fields.
Managing a farm of this size can be challenging, however Bruce believes in striving to do your best. He states, “I think that in whatever you do, if you do the best you can, in the end you will be rewarded”.
Bruce recognizes and takes pride in raising a premium product. He wants his consumers to know that they are getting the best product, from Sakura Wagyu Farms breeding and feeding program, to the end product on the consumer’s plate. He simply states, “I don’t think you could buy a better product than Sakura Wagyu beef”.
