Processing and Quality Assurance Manager

Andrew Cox is Sakura’s Processing and Quality Assurance Manager. Andrew is responsible for all production scheduling and acts as a liaison within processing plants where he works closely with plant personnel to meet the needs of the company and our customers. In addition to his role as the Processing and Quality Assurance Manager, Andrew also has a role as Account Manager for a few of Sakura sales accounts.

Bringing ten years of experience to the team, Andrew joined the company in 2021. Prior to his position at Sakura, Andrew worked as a laboratory scientist for the Ohio Department of Agriculture Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory for five years testing and researching a wide variety of livestock and wild animal diseases. Andrew also spent four years working as a Plant Manager and Quality Assurance Coordinator at a USDA processing plant where he was introduced to Sakura and its team.

Andrew is a problem solver who enjoys the challenges of the ever-changing and evolving Meat Industry. He enjoys working with the rest of the Sakura team and helping create a valued product for consumers.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys his hobbies, hunting, fishing, and working on classic cars. He loves spending time outdoors with his wife Kelsey and their two daughters Emma and Cleo.

Favorite cut of Beef: Sakura Ribeye steak, there is no comparison. It is truly Marbelicious!
